La Luz — Metal Man

Since “Metal Man” is such a vivid and colorful song I wanted the video to be more of an extension or visual translation of the music than a standalone piece with the song as a backdrop. During the idea phase, I brought Kubrickian sci-fi, disco lighting, and 60s psychedelic visuals to the table. The band brought Warholian pop art and levity. The overlap I think fits perfectly with the themes and moods of the song. We utilized all kinds of vintage and modern light projection and deflection techniques and devices including liquid light show projections, spotlights, light gobos, LEDs, and laser projectors.
